I offer
face-to-face sessions, on a long- or
short-term basis, for individuals or
couples. Each session normally lasts for an
hour, and takes place on a weekly or
fortnightly basis, usually at The Person
Centre. However, this isn't fixed in stone,
and we may be able to agree on alternative
arrangements or locations; for example,
longer, intensive sessions may feel more
appropriate on occasion. Because of the
importance of the therapeutic relationship
in my work, I don't offer either telephone
or online therapy.
Details of therapy days, workshops and other
events can be found on the
events page.
Although I
don't currently have space to take on new
clients, I anticipate that I will
have space available in early 2010 so please
don't hesitate to get in touch now if that
sort of timing could work for you.
Fees and energy exchange
The
Person Centre is a non-profit making
association and therefore sets out simply to
cover its costs. On this basis, a one hour
session for an individual or couple is
normally charged at 30€. However, as some
people who have come to live in France may
be cash-poor but relatively time-rich, I also offer the
opportunity of an energyexchange.
It works like this: while you may of course
choose to pay for therapy sessions in the normal
way, you may opt instead to 'pay', either
in whole or in part, with something of
equivalent value (for example, your produce,
or your time in the form of conservation or
gardening work, work in the house,
or something similar).
The choice is wholly yours; I
ask no questions concerning financial means. We can discuss and agree the
details before we meet or during an
introductory session.
There is
no charge for a first meeting.
Group
facilitation and supervision
I offer
regular or one-off facilitation for large
and small groups (including families),
either here in Ariège or farther afield. I
also offer person-centred supervision for
counsellors, therapists, group leaders,
complementary medicine practitioners or
anyone in the 'helping professions'. Please
contact me for details.
Ethics and confidentiality
I adhere
to the Ethical Framework of the British
Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy, and that of
L'Association Française
de Psychothérapie dans l'Approche Centrée
sur la Personne, of which I am a member.
Trust between therapist and client is
absolutely crucial, and all my therapeutic
work is confidential. This means that
everything disclosed, together with the fact
that you have made contact with me or are a
client, stays with me and me
alone.
